GRACIAS!
An Edinburgh taxi driver picked up a fare in George Street. Glancing
in the mirror he noticed that the guy had a big scar right across his throat. "Leith," the fare growled.
When they arrived at the destination the cabbie, overcome with curiosity, had to ask the fare what
had happened to his throat. "Falklands," was the gruff reply. "Well," said the cabbie, "no charge
for a man who fought for his country." Getting out of the taxi the man cheerfully said, "Muchos
gracias amigo"!!

OH DEAR! Very dear in fact for a drunk passenger who refused to pay the 40 cleaning up
fee after he was sick in a taxi. He appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court where it was revealed that the
offender had been out celebrating his release from prison when the offence took place. The passenger
admitted to a breach of the peace and refusing to pay the taxi fare. The Sheriff promptly sent him
back to jail for a month where, no doubt, he will get plenty of practice at cleaning up his own
mess.

THE PUBLIC RING CABBIES BRING A cab company in New York thought they'd cracked it when they
found a new way of making a big profit. The Metro Cab Company (unlicensed) decided to ferry drugs
instead of passengers. Just like ordering a pizza, a drug addict would phone their order to the
firrri s dispatchers. Service was excellent with the cab delivering to the door within 10 minutes.
The company was allegedly making profits of around 80,000 per week, that is until Police put a stop
to it!
